The Vintage

A winter with limited rainfall, approximately 40%-50% below average, combined with a significant cold spell in February, led to delayed pruning and healthy budbreak in the vineyards. A major heatwave in August accelerated ripening and required careful maintenance of healthy, balanced foliage to protect the fruit. The vintage was characterized by low levels of pests and disease, contributing to high-quality fruit, average yields and excellent-quality wines.

Wine Characteristics

This dry white wine was produced from Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards in the Jerusalem Hills and on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Following gentle pressing, part of the must was fermented with oak and aged on its lees for three months, while the remainder was fermented at a low temperature in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is medium-bodied, with aromas of green apple, peach and toasted almonds. It has a long and balanced finish.

Food Pairing

The wine pairs well with dishes such as pasta with pesto sauce, grilled fish and lightly roasted asparagus.
