The harvest
The growing season was characterized by a relatively warm winter and higher-than-average rainfall, which initially led to early bud break in the vineyards. Harvest began early, with yields 15% lower than the multi-year average. Physiological and phenolic ripening varied from plot to plot, requiring close and detailed monitoring. Wine characteristics
Dry red wine from Marselan grapes grown in selected vineyards in the Carmel slopes. After prolonged fermentation on the skins, the wine aged in a combination of cement tanks and 300L French oak barrels.
The wine has aromas of blackberries, ripe strawberries, and a hint of vanilla, medium to full body, and a long and balanced finish. -
