The harvest
A growing season characterized by winter with many chilling hours, the amounts of rain were 50% higher than the perennial average. Spring was relatively mild with no significant rainfall events, and also early summer was moderate. September was noticeably warmer than average. Irrigation started late due to the heavy rains during the winter, and the growth was uniform and balanced. The key success in the harvest lay in the precise timing of the vintage, which led to the creation of balanced and typical wines.
